Ceylon Heritage & Highland Wilderness Odyssey

Ceylon Crown: Citadels, Clouds & Safaris is a masterfully curated 10-day voyage through the island’s most majestic cultural landmarks, dramatic cloud forest landscapes, and untamed wildlife reserves. Designed for travelers who value depth, comfort, and seamless private transfers, this circuit connects the sacred ancient plains to the cool central highlands and southern wildlife wilderness.

Your journey begins on the golden west coast before heading inland to the serene, forest-encircled waters of Kandalama. From this luxury base in the Cultural Triangle, uncover thousands of years of royal history—climbing the sky-high rock citadel of Sigiriya, walking among medieval stone palaces in Polonnaruwa, and standing at the sacred mountain peak of Mihintale where Buddhism was first introduced to the island.

Ascend through Matale’s spice-scented valleys into the royal hill capital of Kandy to witness sacred evening rituals at the Temple of the Tooth. Journey deeper into the misty highlands of Kandapola, where you’ll stay amidst historic tea estates, tour working tea factories, and hike to the dramatic precipice at World’s End in Horton Plains National Park. Conclude your adventure with an exhilarating 4×4 jeep safari in Yala National Park in search of wild leopards, sloth bears, and Asian elephants, ending on the cobblestone ramparts of the UNESCO-listed Galle Dutch Fort.
